Description

Yongnuo YN650EX-RF is a flash designed for Canon cameras. It is distinguished by an oval-shaped burner and built-in LEDs. It also has a built-in transmitter and receiver compatible with the Yongnuo radio triggering system. The flash offers the ability to work in TTL mode and high flash power.

Unique torch shape

The new oval shape of the torch allows for far more even and soft transitions than is possible with standard rectangular torches.

LED Lamp

Yongnuo YN650EX-RF is not just a system flash. The torch of this model is surrounded by 24 LEDs, which can act as a modeling light. The continuous light source allows for convenient and precise setting of the lighting setup before the first flash. In emergency situations, it can also serve as the main light source during filming.

Flash radio triggering system

The flash has a built-in transmitter and receiver compatible with the Yongnuo RF radio flash triggering system. It works with such models as YN560 III / YN560 IV / YN560TX PRO / YN685 / YN720 / RF605 / RF603 / RF602. Full compatibility list in the table below the description.

Support for optical flash triggering in master mode

Model YN650EX-RF can be used as an optical trigger controller for Yongnuo and Canon EX-series flashes (except YN585EX / YN320EX models).

Slave mode optical flash triggering support

In slave mode, the flash receives a signal from the master unit. Devices compatible in this mode are YN600EX-RT II, YN568EX II, 600EX(II)-RT, 580EX II, Canon 7D / 60D / 600D and other cameras that support “off-camera TTL”.

TTTL and HSS automation

Yongnuo YN650EX-RF is equipped with HSS high-speed sync mode (up to 1/8000 s) and TTL flash power selection automation system. These functions are extremely useful in changing lighting conditions. It also offers first and second curtain shutter synchronization.

Fast charging and external power source

The lamp is powered by 4 rechargeable AA batteries. The time required to charge the burner, after the flash at full power, is only 2 seconds (using rechargeable batteries of lower quality, this time may increase to 3-4 seconds). When connected to an external battery pack flash performance can increase even more.

High flash power

The flash generates a GN of 60 (ISO 100, 200 mm). The high power combined with short charging times ensures that it is ready for action at any time.

Multiple triggering options

The YN650EX-RF offers complete flexibility in the way you trigger. On the camera sled, wirelessly via a radio/optical flash triggering system or via a PC sync cable.

Electronic zoom

The lamp will automatically select the torch zoom depending on the focal length of the lens attached to the camera, it also allows you to switch to manual mode and adjust from 28 – 200 mm.

Intuitive controls

The clear, backlit LCD (Negative Display Screen) and large, comfortable buttons provide comfort. It is also possible to turn on audible signals to indicate when the flash is ready to flash again.

Software Upgrade

The YN650EX-RF flash is equipped with a micro USB port, through which we can update its firmware. The manufacturer cares about the development of their products and ensures compatibility with new camera models. We can download the latest software from the official Yongnuo website
