The Kowa TP-105FT Protect filter helps protect the pure fluorite crystal objective lens of the Kowa TSN-99 Prominar. The TP-105FT features oil- and water-repellent coatings to keep the protective filter free of dirt. This keeps the objective lens with the special coatings undamaged.
By using a protective filter for the lens, you reduce the risk of damage to the lens. Because the Kowa TSN-99 is equipped with a lens made of pure fluorite crystal, the entire lens should be replaced in case of damage. The cost of a protective filter is many times cheaper.

You simply place the filter on the thread on the inside of the front lens. It is the perfect accessory for any owner of these premium optics!
Damage to the front objective lens can drastically reduce the optical performance of your spotting scope and is one of the most expensive repairs to repair, especially if you own a pure fluorite crystal model from Kowa. Often, the only option is to completely replace the front objective lens.
