RICOH/PENTAX RICOH WG-6 ORANGE

The Ricoh WG-6 is a top-of-the-line waterproof digital compact camera designed to be waterproof to a depth of 20 meters, shockproof against a fall from heights of 2.1 meters and crushproof against weights of up to 100kgf (kilogram force). Its also cold-resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C.

High resolution image sensor and 4K video
Equipped with a state-of-the-art back-illuminated, 20 megapixel CMOS image sensor and a high-performance imaging processor, it delivers super-high-resolution still images and 4K-resolution movie clips (3840 x 2160 pixels, 30 fps).

Innovative features help you get the best shot of the subject. For example the Handheld Night Snap mode, which automatically captures several images of the same nighttime scene and produces a single blur-free composite image from them.

And if you are shooting video in HD video resolution (720p), you can activate the new Movie SR+ mode which generates a shake-reduction effect similar to the one created by a gimbal unit, to assure high-quality movie shooting with more active, fast-action outdoor activities.

Built-in LED ring light
Thanks to its 5x zoom lens with an angle-of-view equivalent to approximately 28-140 mm for full-frame and a minimum focusing distance of only one centimeter, the WG-6 covers a wide range of applications, from eye-catching close-ups to sweeping landscapes.

Positioned around the lens is a multi-application ring light, featuring six LED bulbs which provide a bright, uniform illumination on the subject. Thanks to a choice of lighting patterns, it can also be used to illuminate the subject more three-dimensionally.

GPS and compass records positioning data
The Ricoh WG-6 comes equipped with a large, high-resolution 3.0-inch high-resolution LCD monitor (1,040,000 dots). Its anti-reflection coating minimizes annoying glare and reflections to assure a sharp, clear on-screen image even in the harsh sunshine often encountered in outdoor shooting.

The camera also incorporates such outdoor-friendly features as a GPS module to record position data and travel log data onto captured images, and an electronic compass to enhance operability in the field.

20MP CMOS Sensor
Featuring a 20MP BSI CMOS sensor, the WG-6 is capable of recording high-resolution stills and UHD 4K30 video. The sensor's back-illuminated design offers improved clarity, reduced noise, and a sensitivity range from ISO 125-6400 to suit working in low-light conditions.

Ricoh 5x Zoom Lens and LED Ring Light
Spanning wide-angle to telephoto focal lengths, the 5x optical zoom lens covers a 28-140mm equivalent range for photographing a wide array of subject types. Surrounding the lens is an LED ring light, which incorporates six individual LEDs, to produce bright and even lighting when photographing close-up subjects. Ten brightness levels are available to adjust the light output, the lighting pattern can be configured, and an enhanced Digital Microscope mode enables close focusing to 0.4".

UHD 4K Video and Movie SR+
UHD 4K30 video recording is supported for high-resolution playback and is benefitted by a Movie SR+ (Shake Reduction) setting, which offers "electronic gimbal" functionality to steady footage taken while moving. Conventional Movie SR can also be used for a more natural, less distorted look, and actively clips the frame to promote steadier shots.

Body Design
The rugged exterior of the camera has been designed for easy operation in harsh conditions, even when wearing gloves. An assignable ADJ button offers instant access to oft-used camera functions and a top dial permits quick switching between shooting modes. The four-way controller also sports a more ergonomic, raised design with easier-to-press buttons and the rear 3.0" 1.04m-dot LCD has a bright design and AR coating for clear viewing in various lighting conditions. Additionally, date and copyright stamping on files is possible.

GPS System
Enhanced for greater accuracy, the integrated GPS module corresponds to the latest satellite navigation augmentation system, SBAS. QZSS is also supported for quick activation—approximately 1 minute from shut-down or 3 seconds from standby—and a dedicated GPS button is featured within the four-way controller for recording location information to images by the GPS memory function.
