The FLIR Scout III 640 is FLIR's newest compact and lightweight monocular thermal camera. The advantage over night vision equipment is that you can easily see with heat imaging equipment whether or not someone is in the woods. It also gives you the opportunity to see, for example, heat tracks, think of a car that has just passed away, which has given heat. There is absolutely no need for light to see clear image with a thermal imager.
;This monocular thermal camera has a refresh rate of 30 Hz, this is a higher refresh rate compared to the Scout II 640 with 9 herz refresh rate. The refresh rate is the number of times per second that the hardware can change the pixels, the higher the Herz the smoother the images.
