The Voigtlander Macro APO Lanthar 65 mm f/2.0 is the undisputed king of optical quality. Short tele
The focal length of the Macro APO Lanthar fits perfectly between the two most popular focal lengths for portrait photography, the 50 and the 85, combining the advantages of both. The 65mm lens is ideal wherever the viewer’s attention needs to be focused on a particular scene, bringing out every possible detail. Its true kingdom is product and beauty photography.
APO Chromat
The design of the APO Lanthar 65 mm is made up of ten optical elements arranged in eight groups, with as many as six lenses with partially anomalous dispersion and one lens that is aspherical on both sides. Such a complex construction is no accident. The unparalleled sharpness, contrast, microcontrast and colour reproduction are the result of the choice of lanthanum doped lenses, the excellent manufacturing precision and the many years of experience of the Japanese Cosina engineers.
Light control
The Maco APO Lanthar’s aperture, built with 10 leaves, offers a range of adjustment from f/2.0 to f/22 with an accuracy of 1/3 EV. In most cases, this provides adequate freedom when working with depth of field.
Macro 1:2
The combination of a 38° angle of view and a minimum focus distance of 31 cm allows a 1:2 image reproduction, making it possible to photograph very small subjects such as watches, jewellery or make-up details.
