The Irix 45mm T1.5 is a full frame (43.3 image circle), 8K-ready lens with a T value range of 1.5 to
22.
The lens is compatible with standard systems used in cinematography. It is equipped with a lens hood
that can easily be replaced with a standard 95mm matte box. The front of the lens is also equipped
with a 86mm filter thread.
For stability when filming, the lens can be fixed to a cage with a lens foot (included in the kit) with a
standard ¼-20 mount thread. All future Irix Cine lenses will feature identical gears height to facilitate
quick and easy swapping.
This lens has been engineered with groundbreaking Irix solutions. The front of the lens is equipped
with a Magnetic Mount System for easy installation of additional accessories, starting with an
innovative lens hood.
The Adaptive Ring for follow focus system lets the user enjoy all the convenience of follow focus
systems, as well as making the lens more friendly when no follow focus is used. The result? More
versatility.
Ready for action.
The lens is made of magnesium alloy for durability, with a weight of only 1.1kg (2.4 lbs). This light
weight makes it balance well with mid-size camcorders as well as SLR/mirrorless cameras. The lens is
equipped with weather sealing (5 rubber rings, 4 rubber rings for the PL mount).
Quality as top priority.
The lens is 8K ready, with 11 optical elements, internal focusing and 9 curved aperture blades. This
combination provides the highest possible image quality, beautiful bokeh, reliable performance and as
little focus breathing as possible. With this build and these features, why settle for less than Irix quality?
