New product
The Nokton I Vintage Line 35 mm f/1.5 is a combination of the latest technological thinking and analogue character. A small, lightweight, perfectly balanced general-purpose lens with high brightness and great capabilities designed for use with Leica M system full-frame rangefinder cameras.
The classic focal length of the new Nokton Vintage Line is the golden mean between telephoto and wide-seeing lenses. The slightly wider angle compared to the standard 50mm will find use in filming and street, reportage or product photography. The 35mm lens is a classic of the genre. A focal length that will allow you to capture both stunning portrait shots and breathtaking landscapes.
The Voigtlander 35 mm f/1.5 lens carries the title Nokton. It belongs to a line of super-bright lenses, enabling work even with minimal ambient light. The aperture ring allows the aperture value to be changed in 1/2 EV increments between f/1.5 and f/16. This range of values gives you free control over what is important in the frame and what is merely the background of the image. With the aperture wide open, the image is sharp in the centre of the frame and plastic on the sides. With a shallow depth of field, the subject of the photo is brought out of its surroundings, focusing all of the viewer’s attention on it. When the aperture is closed, sharpness appears across the width of the frame, but out-of-focus areas still retain their characteristic appearance. By closing the aperture, which is made up of 12 straight blades, you can also achieve beautiful starry reflections in night shots.
The state-of-the-art optical design concealed inside the metal barrel contains nine elements arranged in six groups. The use of two double-sided aspherical elements significantly contributes to the high imaging quality regardless of the selected aperture.
Voigtlander lenses are renowned for their superior build quality. The Nokton I Vintage Line 35 mm is no different. The lens surprises with its compact size and simple, compact design. The entire barrel is made of metal, so the lens will maintain its accuracy for many years. The setting rings move smoothly, but with the necessary resistance for precise operation. A metal pusher with an anatomical shape helps to make sharpening more comfortable. The lens is finished in matte black paint.
The lens is equipped with a Leica M bayonet, designed for Leica and Voigtlander rangefinder cameras. Using the appropriate bayonet adapter, it can be mounted on any Canon R, Fuxjilim X, Nikon Z, Sony E or Micro 4/3 mirrorless camera. The Nokton I Vintage Line 35 mm f/1.5 covers the entire 35 mm format frame with its image.
