Description

The Voigtlander Macro APO Ultron 35 mm f/2.0 is a unique lens developed for use with the APS-C format sensors of Fujifilm X cameras. The lens combines not only a standard focal length with high brightness, but also an apochromatic design for above-average imaging quality with marko function.

The equivalent of the classic 50 on full frame

The 35mm focal length offered by the Macro APO Ultron is equivalent to the classic 50mm for full-frame cameras. The lens gives a 42.8° field of view, similar to that seen by the human eye. The 50 is one of the most commonly chosen focal lengths for portrait or reportage photography, guaranteeing a perspective and depth that is pleasing to the eye. The Macro APO Ultron 35mm will find its use in many fields of photography from macro photography, product and portrait photography to reportage.

Apochromatic construction

The lens is composed of 9 lenses arranged in 6 groups. 3 lenses in the optical system are made of anomalous dispersion glass. The Macro APO Ultron’s apochromatic design guarantees faithful colour reproduction, no chromatic aberration and excellent microcontrast.

Precise light control

The Macro APO Ultron 35mm aperture offers an adjustable range of values from f/2.0 to f/22, providing just the right amount of freedom when working with depth of field for most everyday applications. The aperture can be adjusted in 1/3 EV increments. The 10 leaves that control the aperture produce beautifully creamy blurs in out-of-focus areas.

Quality without compromise

Its entire barrel is made of metal, so the lens will maintain its accuracy for many years. The setting rings move with velvety smoothness ensuring precision and comfort when shooting.

When using the lens with cameras that do not support communication with it, the lensless shooting function must be enabled in the camera settings

Before using the lens, we suggest changing the aperture display settings on the camera body from TNo to FNo and changing the depth of field scale display to film standard

ON CERTAIN FUJIFILM camera models, the lens may not work properly in AUTOMATIC MODE, TIME PRESELECTION MODE S or P. WE suggest operating in MANUAL MODE M or Aperture PRESELECTION MODE.
