The Stereo VideoMic Pro offers the ability to create high quality stereo footage for videographers and is ideal for recording music and ambience environments to capture realistic soundstages.

The Stereo VideoMic Pro delivers a wide stereo image with natural depth, thanks to the new ½" high sensitivity condenser capsules in a selection pair placed in a fixed XY position.

In addition to the new microphone capsules, a differentiating feature from the original version of the microphone (SVM Pro) is the integrated Rycote® Lyre® cushioning system that separates the microphone capsules and electronics from the microphone mount and provides isolation from external physical factors that can cause unwanted noise and vibration. The suspension is made from a single piece of durable thermoplastic and provides excellent acoustic suspension. In addition, compared to traditional elastic solutions, the suspension never wears out (no sagging or cracking of rubber bands).

Its ergonomic design makes it a perfect fit for DSLR cameras, small home video cameras and large sensor cameras. The newly designed Kevlar-reinforced braided cable as well as the improved wind protection foam contribute to excellent acoustic isolation from the camera/camcorder and offer significantly lower transmission noise and higher sensitivity.

The rear of the microphone body features an opening housing for the 9V battery and all controls, including a high-pass filter at 75 Hz, which is designed to eliminate low-frequency noise generated by e.g. traffic, air conditioning, etc., and a sensitivity switch (-10dB, 0, +20dB). The -10dB position allows the user to reduce the sensitivity of the microphone to make it suitable for recording loud sound sources such as live music productions or sporting events.

As with the VideoMic Pro Rycote microphone, the Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote features a +20dB sensitivity level switch specifically designed to provide a higher quality signal when used with a DSLR. When activated, the normally low quality preamplifier in the camera can be reduced, resulting in lower noise levels and a much clearer audio recording.

The microphone is designed and manufactured in Australia and upon registration, the customer receives an extended 10-year warranty.
