The AGM PVS-14 ECHO is a top-of-the-line monocular night vision goggle equipped with a Photonis ECHO autogated Green Phosphor IIT. These image intensifier tubes are the best on the commercial market and can convert even the slightest ambient light into razor-sharp images. This makes these units excellent for airsoft, tactical applications or MIL-SIMs.
PVS (Personal Vision System) night vision optics are known worldwide for their unsurpassed quality, reliability and ergonomic design and were originally developed for use by the US Army.
This night vision monocular features a Gen2+ PHOTONIS ECHO Autogated IIT in Green Phosphor (P43). These generally have a FOM (Figure of Merit) of 1800-2300, so the higher the FOM value, the higher the brightness and sharpness (and the lower the noise). The night viewer has a so-called clean tube, so there are no green spots on the image. So you can see the surroundings razor sharp, in navy green color. The PVS-14 is also available in ECHO White Phosphor.
The AGM PVS-14 has a 26mm objective lens with a wide field of view of 40 degrees and focuses from 25 cm. The optical magnification is 1x, but an optional 3x optical lens is also available. The lens is fully multi-coated for protection against scratches and dirt.
Optional mounts allow you to attach the PVS-14 to a variety of helmet types. A head mount system - or goggle kit - is also included with this product. This allows you to attach the night vision optics to your head and have your hands free. The head system features a flip-up system that allows you to easily and securely flip up the viewer and keep it firmly in place. It also features adjustable, comfortable head straps and a chin guard with integrated padding.
The AGM PVS-14 is one of the best night vision devices on the market, making it an excellent choice for professionals and demanding enthusiasts. For example, in airsoft, tactical applications, hunting, astronomy, survival or nature observation. With the right accessories, you can attach the optics to a helmet or use it hands-free with the included goggle kit. It also comes with a front shield that protects the lens from airsoft balls, for example. If you need infrared illumination (e.g. in a dark room with zero ambient light), you can turn on the built-in IR illuminator.
This night vision optics is equipped with a image intensifier tube, so you cannot use the device during the day. It will automatically turn off when there is too much light.
