AFM Ronin GL Support Bracket X5S

AF Marcotec is introducing its newest innovation for enhancing the world of camera stabilization – the AFM Ronin GL Support Bracket X5S. This new AF Marcotec support bracket acts as a quick-change system that allows filmmakers to use a DJI Ronin in combination with a Glidecam X-20, X-30, X-45 as well as any Steadicam or other brand stabilization systems that have a 5/8 inch arm post.

The AFM Ronin GL Support Bracket X5S makes it possible to attach a DJI Ronin to a Glidecam support arm and corresponding vest rather than a sled. By using a vest and support arm body-mounted system, the weight of the DJI Ronin is reduced from the hands and arms and instead is distributed through the entire upper body.

A particularly great feature of using a DJI Ronin with a Glidecam system is that the support arm absorbs the unwanted movements of the operator, especially when the operator is moving quickly. This guarantees wonderfully smooth shots that give the sensation of flying, eliminating the familiar yet unintentional up-and-down motions.

The modular design of the AFM Ronin GL Support Bracket X5S provides flexibility since it doubles as a quick release and change system. This hybrid functionality enables the use of a DJI Ronin on a tripod, crane, or Glidecam X-20, X-30 or X-45 system as well as on Steadicam or other brand stabilizers that have a 5/8 inch arm post.
