The Fisheye II lens from walimex pro offers you a completely new way of looking at things and exceptional creative possibilities. No matter whether panorama and landscape photography or even unique effect images - thanks to the particular focal depth and a the 180° picture angle, there are no boundaries for your creativity. The walimex pro 8/2.8 Fisheye II gives photographers a vast range of possibilities for image composition, especially with spherical panoramas. Straight lines, which are not positioned in the middle of the picture, appear curved, resulting in an extremely barrel shaped distortion. This special lens type has a particularly short focal length of 8 mm for its image format size, which is why the image is represented with curved forms. Photos taken with the walimex pro Fisheye are therefore characterized by their typical spherically distorted perspective.

Optimized lens design
The lens design on the well established walimex pro 8/2.8 was completely revised and thus optimized. All 11 glass lenses of the lens are multi-coated and thus ensure a brilliant contrast and sharpness range as well as a well-rounded colour balance. Due to the use of three ED (extra low dispersion) and two aspherical lenses, chromatic aberrations and spherical image defects are corrected. The particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensures optimal image results. The fast lens speed of 1:2.8 allows excellent shots even under less favourable light conditions. A fixed lens hood prevents lateral incident stray light and lens reflections. The lens is most suitable for system cameras and is therefore particularly light and handy. Available in black and silver.
