The CANVAS system automates filament handling, enabling fast colour changes, intelligent material recognition and uninterrupted printing when one spool runs out. Four independent motors provide precise feeding of individual filaments, making multicolour printing accessible even to beginners. Broad material compatibility supports both everyday projects and more demanding prints, while filament-tangle detection helps keep printing on track. CANVAS is designed exclusively for the ELEGOO Centauri Carbon and is not compatible with the Centauri 2 or Centauri Carbon 2.

Four colours in one print

CANVAS automatically manages four filaments, with each spool driven by an independent motor. The system handles material changes without manual intervention during printing, allowing you to create models with varied colours and smooth transitions between hues. Its operation makes multicolour projects accessible to users who are new to advanced 3D printing.

Fast colour changes

Independent motor control and shorter filament paths enable fast switching between colours. Reducing material-change time helps speed up multicolour projects and maintain a smooth printing process. CANVAS is particularly useful for models that require frequent colour changes, automatically managing the filaments so you can focus on the project.

Compatible materials

The system supports a range of filaments, including PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG and PC. Choose a material to suit the model, from everyday prints and decorations to parts for more demanding applications.

RFID filament recognition

When used with ELEGOO filaments equipped with RFID tags, CANVAS automatically identifies the material type and colour and applies the recommended print parameters. This reduces manual setup and the risk of using incorrect material settings.

Automatic filament switching and tangle detection

Automatic filament refilling lets you use several identical spools and continue printing when one spool is empty. CANVAS switches to the next compatible spool, reducing the need to interrupt or monitor a print. The system can also detect filament tangles and pause printing to help protect the project. The spool holder keeps unused filament wound neatly to help reduce tangling and material waste.
