Product Description
The Rode VideoMic NTG is a broadcast-grade, feature-rich shotgun microphone optimized for on-camera use. It incorporates the same revolutionary acoustic design as the NTG5 broadcast shotgun microphone, delivering unmatched transparency and a natural, uncoloured sound. It features an incredibly flat frequency response, a highly directional supercardioid polar pattern, and very low self-noise, making it a compact on-camera microphone that competes with the world’s best shotgun microphones.
Designed for flexibility, the VideoMic NTG offers digital switching to access a high-pass filter, -20dB pad, high frequency boost, and safety channel. Its unique infinitely variable gain control allows precise tailoring of the output. The auto-sensing 3.5mm output detects the connected device type (camera or mobile) and switches accordingly, eliminating the need for adapter cables. A dB peak warning light helps ensure audio does not clip.
Beyond on-camera use, the VideoMic NTG functions as a fully-featured USB microphone compatible with computers, tablets, and smartphones. The 3.5mm jack also doubles as a headphone output for seamless audio monitoring when using the USB output.
