The SmallRig 1798 Baseplate with Dual 15mm Rod Clamp is designed for long-length, front-heavy camera setups. It consists of two SmallRig tripod mounting plates each integrated with a 15mm rail block, allowing secure attachment of accessories and proper balance control on tripods.

Usage

Attach the baseplate assembly to your tripod plate using the supplied 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 screws. Then mount your dovetail base plate onto it. The 15mm rail blocks clamp securely onto standard 15mm rods, facilitating the addition of various camera accessories. The 40mm groove allows you to shift the camera forward or backward to achieve optimal balance on your tripod.
