Compact Design and 4K Recording
The SJCAM C400 combines a compact, detachable design with 4K Ultra HD recording at 30 fps, making it suitable for everyday vlogging and dynamic point-of-view footage. The camera can be detached for first-person shots and recording from different angles. Its lightweight design makes it easy to carry during daily activities and travel. 4K recording captures detailed footage with vivid colours.
Rotating Touchscreen
The rotating touchscreen makes it easy to switch between portrait and landscape framing to suit your content. Portrait orientation is useful for social media, while landscape orientation provides a traditional video format. The display provides a preview to help frame shots, and rotating it also turns on the device.
Wireless Control and Preview
The wireless controller connects via Bluetooth and lets you start and stop recording and change settings without direct access to the mounted camera. Its 2.29-inch rotating touchscreen provides a live preview, and the control range is up to 8 m. This is useful when filming alone or when the camera is difficult to reach.
Stabilisation and Battery Life
A 6-axis gyroscope works with the Steady Motion V1.0 algorithm to reduce the effect of camera shake and help produce smoother footage when recording on the move. When paired with the wireless controller, the camera can record 4K footage for approximately 7 hours. Battery life is specified as 172 minutes at 4K/30 fps without the controller, or 437 minutes at 4K/30 fps using the camera and controller batteries.
Recording Modes and Functions
Time Lapse and Slow Motion modes provide additional creative options. The camera also supports YouTube live streaming and webcam functionality, extending its use beyond standard video recording.
