MagicSoft Playout Broadcast Automation Software

MagicSoft Playout software is an intuitive and powerful multi-format playout solution designed for professional environments such as broadcasting stations and production studios. It supports 24/7 playout for news, music, and movie channels, enabling insertion of commercials and switching between multiple live videos. Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, and equivalent 64-bit Windows Server OS.

Media Compatibility

Supports any media file size from 8K (7680 x 4320) down to 320 x 240 resolution, with frame rates ranging from 3 to 120 fps.

Output streaming supports resolutions from 4K down to 360 x 288.

Streaming Server Compatibility

Compatible with RTMP / RTMPS servers for 24/7 streaming including YouTube, Twitch, Wowza, Vimeo, Facebook, and DaCast. Also supports UDP streaming (unicast and multicast) using H264 with AAC, AC3, or MP2 audio codecs.

The internal video engine automatically resizes, matches aspect ratio, and transcodes media files and live inputs to match output characteristics.

Scheduling and Timeline Features

The MagicSoft Playout client allows scheduling clips or live inputs to start at predefined times. Skipped events or gaps are clearly marked. The timeline is flexible and intuitive, supporting scrubbing, marking, segment display, continuity, and overlapping segments. Multiple consecutive rows can be grouped and collapsed, with support for multi-level grouping. Trimming features enable easy segment creation and property management.

Advanced Audio Module

• Supports up to 16 audio output channels
• Real-time audio loudness normalization (EBU, NTSC, YouTube, or custom settings)

This module enables media playback without manual sound level adjustments, providing real-time automatic processing without compression or distortion. It delivers optimal results even with high dynamic range audio, ensures predictable loudness levels, and prevents signal clipping.

Conformance Recorder Module

Allows recording of the Playout output with support for two simultaneous profiles.
