Anamorphic Lens Characteristics

Anamorphic lenses don’t just capture light; they also reveal how light behaves when it cannot be fully controlled. Light veils, streaks, and reflections were never part of the original plan. Inspired Design

Inspired by the earliest coated anamorphic film lenses, Blue recreates the most iconic “imperfection” in film history. Single-layer anti-reflective coatings on mid-20th-century optics struggled to suppress blue wavelengths, and when combined with front anamorphic elements, these reflections stretched into the legendary horizontal blue band.
