The Freewell Adjustable ND Filter combines a Variable Neutral Density (VND) filter with a Mist diffusion filter, offering enhanced control over light exposure and delivering a more cinematic appearance to your footage. It features an adjustable range of 2 to 5 stops (ND4 to ND32), allowing seamless exposure adjustments from cloudy conditions to bright sunlight without the need to swap filters.

Hard Stop Adjustment System

The filter incorporates a Hard Stop mechanism that limits rotation within the 2–5 stop range, preventing cross-polarization effects common in many traditional VND filters. This ensures fast, reliable, and consistent setting of the desired light reduction, ideal for dynamic shooting scenarios such as run-and-gun videography. Additionally, the filter avoids vignetting on lenses with focal lengths of 16 mm and above.

Optical Quality and Durability

Constructed from Pure High Definition optical glass, the filter is enhanced with an 18-layer multi-coating that improves light transmission and reduces reflections. It also features protective coatings against dust, scratches, and fingerprints, ensuring durability during everyday use.

Combined ND and Diffusion Effects

This filter merges two functions into one: variable neutral density control and a Mist diffusion effect.
