The Carvera Air™ 4-axis module with harmonic drive expands the capabilities of the milling machine, enabling the machining of cylindrical parts, double-sided projects and complex 3D shapes. Simultaneous operation across four axes lets you create detailed 3D models using materials ranging from plastic and wood to metal. The module is designed exclusively for the MAKERA Carvera Air™ milling machine.
Versatile machining
The fourth axis enables machining of more complex shapes than a standard 3-axis configuration. Create rotary parts, details machined from both sides and complex 3D models. Simultaneous four-axis operation provides greater precision and design freedom.
Harmonic-drive precision
The module’s harmonic drive provides high motion accuracy and minimal backlash. Smooth, stable operation supports projects that require repeatability and precise detail.
Simple configuration
Integration with Carvera Air™ features—including quick tool change, auto-probing and a home-point-based positioning system—makes configuring four-axis operation as straightforward as standard 3-axis machining. Prepare your design and the machine handles the remaining setup, helping reduce setup time and the risk of errors.
Software and operation
Makera CAM simplifies four-axis programming with intuitive tools for converting 3D models into ready-to-run G-code. The module is also compatible with software such as Fusion 360 and VCarve.
