Product details
Ilford Delta 3200 Professional is a high-speed, panchromatic black-and-white film for photography in extremely low light, available light and fast-moving situations. This 35 mm (135) bulk roll is 30.5 m long and is intended for loading into 35 mm film cassettes; it is not supplied in a ready-loaded camera cassette.
Exposure
- Recommended meter setting: EI 3200/36. The film’s ISO speed is 1000/31° under Ilford’s specified test conditions.
- Typical recommended exposure indices are EI 1600–6400. Ratings up to EI 25,000 are possible; test exposures are advised.
- Core-Shell crystal technology provides unobtrusive grain and a wide tonal range.
- For exposures longer than 1 second, compensate for reciprocity failure. Ilford’s guide gives the adjusted exposure time as metered time1.33.
Processing
Process using conventional black-and-white methods. The film is suitable for spiral tanks, rotary processors, trays, deep tanks and automatic processors. Recommended developers include ILFOTEC DD-X, MICROPHEN and ID-11. Development time depends on the exposure index, developer and processing method. Handle and load the film in total darkness.
Storage and handling
- Store unexposed film in its original packaging in a cool, dry place at 10–20°C.
- Allow refrigerated or frozen film to acclimatise before use, and process exposed film as soon as practical.
- Load and unload in subdued light. Avoid airport scanners; if scanning cannot be avoided, carry the film as hand luggage.
