Established since 1997, ILFORD MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE is a premium quality, variable contrast black and white photographic paper designed for creative printers seeking the ultimate in print quality with warm image tones and excellent response to toning techniques. It is coated onto a 255g/m2 fibre base.
Image Characteristics
The paper features a warm white base tint, producing prints with warm deep blacks and creamy tones that are exceptional. It delivers luxuriously rich prints and has long been regarded as the first choice for creative exhibition printing worldwide.
Darkroom Performance
MULTIGRADE FB WARMTONE has an induction time of approximately 40 seconds for image appearance during processing. It retains all the characteristics expected from an FB fibre-based paper and is suitable for use with all types of darkroom enlargers. It works perfectly with most safelights designed for black and white papers with a cutoff no lower than 580nm.
The paper is fully compatible with the ILFORD chemistry range and the ILFORD optimum permanence wash sequence, ensuring excellent archival quality.
Contrast and Handling
Using ILFORD MULTIGRADE FILTERS, this paper delivers seven full grades of contrast from grade 00 to grade 5 in half-grade steps. After washing and drying, it can be mounted using standard fibre-based paper mounting methods.
