Ilford Multigrade FB Warmtone is a premium variable contrast black and white photographic paper, coated on a 255g/m2 fibre base. It is highly responsive to toning, chemical reduction, and retouching techniques, delivering warm image tones with warm deep blacks and creamy highlights.
This paper consistently produces superior quality prints, making it extensively used worldwide for exhibition printing. Since its launch in 1997, it has maintained its reputation for versatility and excellent response to darkroom techniques.
Darkroom Characteristics
- Induction time of approximately 40 seconds for image appearance during processing
- Retains all characteristics expected from fibre-based papers
- Compatible with all types of darkroom enlargers
- Suitable for safelights with a cutoff no lower than 580nm
- Fully compatible with ILFORD chemistry range and optimum permanence wash sequence
Contrast and Finishing
- Delivers seven full grades of contrast from grade 00 to grade 5 in half-grade steps when used with ILFORD MULTIGRADE FILTERS
- After washing and drying, can be mounted using standard methods for fibre-based papers
