Blackmagic DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder
DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder is a high performance 8-lane Generation 3 PCIe capture card capable of data transfer rates up to 32 Gb/s. It features 4 independent HDMI 2.0b input connections for multi-channel capture, allowing simultaneous capture of 4 different video streams at up to 60 frames per second. Each HDMI input can capture a different video standard or computer input signal, effectively providing 4 capture cards in one.
Multi-Channel Capture and Software Compatibility
The card installs into a PCIe slot and appears as 4 separate capture cards on the host computer. Using the Blackmagic Desktop Video SDK for Mac, Windows, and Linux, software developers can select different HDMI channels for recording. Multiple software applications can record different video streams simultaneously, making it ideal for live streaming, production switchers, broadcast servers, and more.
Users can employ software such as vMix, Wirecast, and OBS for multi-channel recording and streaming. For example, vMix users can record inputs from 2 cameras, a computer, and a game console simultaneously, switch live, and broadcast over the internet. The card fits into a single PCIe slot, suitable for low profile rack mount servers common in broadcast newsrooms, vans, and data centers.
Video Format and Resolution Support
The four HDMI 2.0b inputs support recording of high quality 8 or 10-bit YUV and 10 or 12-bit RGB video up to 4K DCI 30p, or 8-bit RGB up to 4K DCI 60p. It also supports computer and gaming console inputs in 8-bit RGB up to 2560 x 1600 resolution. This flexibility allows simultaneous recording of video from cameras, computers, game consoles, and other sources.
