System Overview

The Sennheiser EW-D ME2/835-S SET combines a hands-free ME 2 omnidirectional lavalier microphone and a handheld MMD 835 cardioid dynamic microphone capsule in a professional digital wireless system. It delivers pristine 24-bit digital audio with an ultrawide 134 dB dynamic range and features an equidistant tuning grid that supports up to 90 simultaneous microphone channels. The system includes a single-channel EW-D EM receiver, a lightweight EW-D SK bodypack transmitter, and an EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter with mute switches and metal housings designed for daily stage use.

Wireless Technology and Frequency

  • Digital UHF transmission operating in the 552 to 607 MHz band with a 56 MHz bandwidth.
  • 2240 available frequencies spaced evenly by a 25 kHz frequency step size, enabling operation of up to 90 mic channels simultaneously without frequency coordination.

  • Intelligent Switching Diversity technology protects against RF interference by comparing signals from two independent antennas and receiver circuits.
