ELEGOO ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic - weather resistant plastic) filament in black is ideal for projects exposed to sun, rain, or high temperatures. The material will not discolor, crack, and remains durable even after prolonged outdoor use, making it suitable for printing garden, technical, and decorative elements.
Stability at high temperatures
ASA has higher heat resistance than popular plastics such as PLA (polylactide - a biodegradable plant-based plastic) or PETG (modified polyethylene terephthalate - an easy-to-print, durable material). It maintains its shape even at temperatures close to 100°C, and its mechanical properties remain stable. In terms of impact resistance, durability, and stiffness, it matches ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene - a plastic used in electronics housings) filament, making it suitable for functional projects.
Always clean printing
The filament is precisely wound with a diameter tolerance of 0.02 mm, reducing the risk of jams and ensuring even feeding of the material. The cardboard spool is recycled and vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber, preventing the material from absorbing water or forming bubbles. It fits most FDM 3D printers (Fused Deposition Modeling - a technology where material is melted and applied in layers).
