The scanner uses three independent data capture technologies to suit various object types. The multi-line laser mode with 30 crosshairs is optimized for technical components requiring high accuracy. Real-Time AI Segmentation

The scanner features Real-Time AI Segmentation that automatically analyzes the scanned scene during operation. AI algorithms recognize the object and remove backgrounds, work surfaces, and other unnecessary elements. It can also detect and remove hands holding the object, resulting in cleaner models and reducing post-processing time.

Fast Scanning and Smooth Object Tracking

The POP 4 captures between 15 and 105 frames per second depending on the mode. Laser mode captures up to 2 million points per second, maintaining high accuracy and smooth operation. Full-Field mode captures up to 5 million points per second, accelerating digitization of larger objects. These capabilities support scanning of small details and complex structures.

Scanning Dark and Shiny Surfaces

The advanced laser projection system effectively scans dark objects, mechanical parts, and many shiny materials without requiring matte spray. For transparent or highly reflective surfaces, using a dedicated scanning spray is recommended for optimal results.

Indoor and Outdoor Use

The scanner operates outdoors in light intensities up to 100,000 lux. VCSEL mode minimizes ambient light impact, enabling operation even in strong sunlight. The optional Outdoor Blue Filter allows detailed laser scans in very bright environments, doubling the laser mode's ambient light resistance from 50,000 to 100,000 lux.

Flexible Working Range

The working distance is adjustable by mode: 200–400 mm for multi-line laser mode, 250–500 mm for Full-Field HD and Hybrid HD modes, and 300–800 mm for VCSEL mode. This flexibility facilitates scanning of fine details, larger objects, and human figures.

Included Revo Scan 6 software enables capturing, editing, and exporting models in popular formats such as STL, OBJ, PLY, FBX, GLTF, 3MF, ASC, and SPLAT.
