The Revopoint Reference Block Set improves the accuracy and stability of 3D scanning. Markers with specific dimensions and varied geometries provide additional reference points, helping the scanner track objects and align successive frames more accurately. This can reduce errors and corrections and produce more predictable results, particularly when scanning smooth, symmetrical or featureless surfaces.
More reference points for greater precision
Each marker type has a specific size and point layout to help the scanner recognise its position in space. Larger pyramid markers (67 × 55 mm) remain visible from a greater distance and are suitable for larger objects. Smaller spherical markers (30 mm) and dome markers (41 × 22 mm) support detailed capture during close-up scanning, allowing the setup to be adapted to the project.
Marker types for flexible workflows
The set combines point, spatial and linear markers. Spheres and domes can be arranged around an object to create a grid of reference points. Pyramids help stabilise tracking in more challenging conditions, while 205 mm marker strips support elongated objects or scans where axis preservation is important. Self-adhesive markers, with 6 mm inner and 10 mm outer diameters, provide denser point coverage when required.
Magnetic mounting
The spherical, dome and pyramid markers have 8 mm diameter magnets for quick, secure placement on metal surfaces without additional mounts. Stable mounting helps prevent markers from shifting during scanning, supporting consistent scan quality.
