ELEGOO Centauri 2 3D Printer
The ELEGOO Centauri 2 is an FDM 3D printer with a CoreXY design, print speeds of up to 500 mm/s, maximum acceleration of 20,000 mm/s² and a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm. It features a nozzle temperature of up to 350°C, a direct-drive Dual-Gear extruder and fully automatic calibration with 121-point bed levelling. Its rigid die-cast frame supports stable operation, while the 5-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, and print-monitoring functions simplify everyday use. The included ELEGOO CANVAS system enables multicolour printing in up to four colours.
High-Speed CoreXY Printing
The CoreXY design enables print speeds of up to 500 mm/s, with a recommended speed of 250 mm/s. Default acceleration is 10,000 mm/s² and can be increased to a maximum of 20,000 mm/s², helping reduce print times, particularly for larger projects. The rigid die-cast frame provides a stable base for high-speed movement and helps minimise the effect of vibration on prints.
350°C Nozzle and Direct-Drive Extruder
The Centauri 2 uses a 0.4 mm nozzle that can reach temperatures of up to 350°C. Its direct-drive Dual-Gear extruder provides controlled filament feeding, including when printing with flexible materials. The printer is designed for 1.75 mm PLA, PETG, PLA-CF and TPU filaments, making it suitable for prototypes, models and functional parts.
Automatic Calibration and Build Plate
Full-Auto Calibration reduces the need for manual setup before printing. The 121-point automatic levelling system helps adjust the build plate for reliable first-layer conditions. The double-sided spring-steel plate has a textured PEI surface on one side and a surface designed for PLA on the other, allowing you to choose the appropriate side for the material.
Build Volume and Print Accuracy
The 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume accommodates larger models or several smaller parts in one print job. Print accuracy is ±0.1 mm. Layer heights range from 0.1 to 0.4 mm, with 0.2 mm recommended, so settings can be adjusted to balance detail and print time.
Print Monitoring and Recovery
A filament-end sensor and clog detection help the printer respond to material-feed issues. Other functions include automatic filament unloading, fan self-diagnostics and detection of print-cooling-fan faults. Power-loss recovery allows an interrupted print to be resumed, which is useful for longer projects.
Controls, Connectivity and Software
The printer runs ELEGOO OS and is operated through a 5-inch colour capacitive touchscreen. Projects can be transferred via Wi-Fi or USB. For model preparation, the Centauri 2 is compatible with ElegooSlicer, Orca and Cura, and accepts STL, OBJ, 3MF and STEP files; the output format is G-code. Included maintenance accessories include tools and a nozzle-cleaning needle for mechanically clearing a clogged nozzle.
Four-Colour Printing with ELEGOO CANVAS
The included CANVAS system supports printing in up to four colours. RFID filament detection helps identify compatible materials and manage them during operation. Auto Refill and Auto Tangle Detection automatically replenish filament and detect tangles, respectively, supporting longer and more complex multicolour print jobs.
