Optical Performance
- Constant fast f/2.8 maximum aperture ideal for low-light conditions and depth of field control.
- Advanced optical construction includes five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and one F Low Dispersion (FLD) element to significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing.
- Three aspherical elements, including a large-diameter aspherical lens, minimize spherical aberrations and distortion for enhanced sharpness and accurate image rendering.
- Super Multi-Layer Coating combined with Nano Porous Coating effectively suppresses lens flare and ghosting, improving contrast and color neutrality, especially in backlit situations.
Autofocus and Handling
- Equipped with a stepping autofocus motor providing fast, precise, and near-silent focusing performance suitable for both photography and video.
- Full-time manual focus override allows precise control when needed.
- Built-in Autofocus-Lock (AFL) button can be customized for additional functions, expanding operational flexibility.
- Rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
Build and Durability
- Weather-resistant construction with a brass bayonet mount enhances mounting accuracy and durability.
