The Sigma 12mm F1.4 DC Contemporary is an ultra-wide-angle lens that achieves the widest angle of view of any F1.4 lens for APS-C cameras currently on the market. Featuring the latest optical design, the lens delivers high resolution, capturing expansive starry skies and landscapes in exquisite detail thanks to its wide aperture. The compact and lightweight design maximizes the mobility of APS-C cameras and enables agile shooting while maintaining uncompromising performance.

Outstanding Optical Performance
Three double-sided aspherical lenses and two SLD glass elements are effectively arranged to achieve high optical performance from a wide-open aperture of F1.4. Coma flare is well corrected, ensuring clear, sharp images from edge to edge, even in starry night scenes where fine detail and sharpness are essential. The effective placement of the double-sided aspherical elements has resulted in a compact and lightweight design with an overall length of 69.4mm and a weight of 225g, ensuring high mobility for outdoor shooting.
Fast Autofocus
Smooth, responsive autofocus is achieved by driving a lightweight focus lens with a stepping motor, enabling precise control. Whether shooting stills or videos, the Sigma 12mm F1.4 DC Contemporary captures important moments without missing a beat. The lens offers fast tracking performance in moving scenes, enabling high-quality video production. Focus breath is suppressed, minimizing changes in the angle of view caused by focus shift.
Aperture Ring and Coating
Equipped with an aperture ring for intuitive aperture control, the Canon RF-mount version features a control ring instead of the aperture ring, enabling features to minimize flare and ghosting. Advanced simulation technology largely eliminates flare and ghosting, allowing the lens to deliver high-contrast results in all conditions. The lens is also dust- and splash-resistant, with a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front surface, making it suitable for harsh outdoor environments.
