The B+W 67mm Orange MRC 040M Filter enhances image contrast when used with black-and-white film in film camera systems.

Optical Effect

This filter corresponds to a Wratten 16 filter. It suppresses visible light wavelengths perceived as green, blue, and violet, while allowing yellow, orange, and red wavelengths to pass through more easily. When used with black-and-white film, green, blue, and violet subjects appear in darker grey tones, whereas yellow, orange, and red subjects appear in lighter grey tones.
