The B+W 62mm Light Red MRC 090M Filter is designed to enhance image contrast when using black-and-white film in film camera systems.

Optical Characteristics

This filter corresponds to the effect of a Wratten 25 filter. It suppresses wavelengths of visible light perceived as green and blue, while allowing yellow, orange, and red wavelengths to pass through more easily. When used with black-and-white film, green to blue subjects appear in very dark grey tones, and yellow to red subjects appear in very light grey tones.

Photographic Effects

• Produces very dark skies with sharply defined clouds in black-and-white photography.

Construction and Coatings

Each glass surface is treated with eight layers of Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) to prevent internal ghosting and reflections. This coating also protects the filter substrate and helps maintain cleanliness longer than uncoated filters. The filter is made from high-quality Schott glass for superior optical clarity.

The filter features an F-Pro brass filter ring that ensures durability and prevents jamming.
