The Mirage Pro Matte Box
The Mirage Pro Matte Box is a new generation of lightweight matte box designed for both beginners and professionals.
Design and Features
The matte box features a Clamp-On system for easy attachment to various lenses. It can be enhanced with adapters for 15mm LWS or 19mm Studio rods (adapters not included), facilitating integration into existing setups. It supports 45.6 size filters for creative visual styles.
A top aperture is included, and side apertures can be added to block glare in challenging lighting conditions.
The matte box utilizes a magnetic snap-on system for easy removal of the front sun visor, reducing weight while allowing for the use of up to three filters simultaneously.
While removing the front lens hood may increase flare susceptibility, the weight reduction is advantageous for stabilizers and weight-sensitive systems.
