KS-181 / 18 China Ball Bracket with E27 Socket

The China Ball, or Chinese paper lantern, is designed with a paper lantern holder and lamp socket to create natural soft light and pleasant skin tones in the film and video industry.

Construction and Features

The frame of the Kupo China Ball is constructed from high-quality 3/16 (5mm) steel with a chrome-plated surface treatment. It is interchangeable by removing the screw nuts if a different size of lantern paper is needed. Key features include:

• Rotatable Steel Ring: Allows easy control of light output while fabric or gel is attached.
• Anti-Kinking Spiral Top Cable Gland: Prevents the cable from becoming loose when subjected to vibration.
• Cable Specifications: 3C*14AWG (2.08mm) cable, 90cm in length, comes with a standard Edison plug.
• Ceramic Lamp Socket: Firmly fixed on the round metal plate to keep the bulb from wobbling.
• Pre-Drilled Holes: Two 1/4-20 and two 3/8-16 threaded holes underneath the round plate provide excellent mounting solutions through any grip equipment, compatible with 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 thread male.
• Included Pin: A 5/8 (16mm) pin with a 3/8-16 threaded male is included.

Lamps designed for photography are recommended when using these lanterns for film and video. Please ensure that they are never left unattended due to the risk of spontaneous fire.
