SJCAM C300 Pocket Action Camera (white)

Compact 4K Action Camera

The SJCAM C300 Pocket lets you capture dynamic 4K footage during activities where using a smartphone would be inconvenient or impractical, such as cycling, motorcycling, skiing or underwater filming. It records at up to 3840 × 2160 pixels at 30 fps and takes photos at up to 20 MP. The 154° field of view captures both the action and its surroundings, while 6-axis gyroscopic stabilisation helps reduce camera shake. Other features include 8× digital zoom and water resistance to depths of up to 30 m when used in the supplied waterproof case. Measuring 68 × 32 × 25.5 mm and weighing just 55 g, the camera is designed for activities where freedom of movement and low weight are important.

4K Recording, Wide-Angle View and Stabilisation

The C300 Pocket records 4K video at 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps, 2K video at 2560 × 1440 at 60 or 30 fps, and Full HD video at 1920 × 1080 at up to 120 fps. It also supports 2.5K video at 2560 × 1920 at 30 fps. Photos can be captured at resolutions of up to 20 MP. The f/2.0 lens has a 154° field of view, and distortion correction and 8× digital zoom provide additional framing options. Six-axis gyroscopic stabilisation helps reduce shake during fast rides, descents and handheld recording.

Slow-motion recording is available at 2× in 2K at 60 fps, 4× in 1080p at 120 fps and 8× in 720p at 120 fps, helping capture jumps, splashes and other fast-moving action in detail. Supported video resolutions and frame rates also include 1920 × 1080 at 60 or 30 fps, 1088 × 1920 at 30 fps, 1280 × 720 at 120, 60 or 30 fps, and 720 × 1280 at 30 fps.

Recording Modes and Underwater Use

When fitted in the supplied waterproof case, the camera can record at depths of up to 30 m. An underwater white balance mode is available alongside Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten and Fluorescent settings. Exposure compensation ranges from +2 EV to −2 EV.

Video modes include normal recording, time-lapse, slow motion, car mode, loop recording, pre-recording, delayed recording, motion detection, portrait mode and simultaneous photo and video recording. Loop recording can be set to 3, 5 or 10 minutes, or switched off. Photo modes include standard photos, interval photos, burst mode and time-lapse photography. Photo resolutions are 20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 3 and 2 MP.

Touchscreen, Wi-Fi and Remote Control

The 1.3-inch touchscreen provides camera controls and a live view in a compact form. Wi-Fi supports 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n) and 5 GHz (802.11a/n/ac) bands, and the camera can be controlled through the app. The C300 Pocket supports YouTube live streaming, works with a dedicated SJCAM remote control and can also be used as a webcam.

Battery, Storage and Connections

The 1000 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 120 minutes of recording in 4K at 30 fps. Footage is stored on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 128 GB. The camera has a USB-C port, one built-in microphone and one speaker; it does not support an external microphone. Videos are saved in MP4 format with H.264 encoding, and photos in JPG format.

The camera measures 68 × 32 × 25.5 mm and weighs 55 g. Compatibility with a waterproof case, bike mount, handlebar mount and helmet mount allows the camera to be set up for different activities and shooting angles.
