Some Minolta lenses require modification of aperture levers to be compatible, as the aperture levers must not protrude more than 10.5 mm from the lens flange surface when used with the Speed Booster®:

Optical Performance
The Speed Booster ULTRA features a revolutionary optical design that improves corner sharpness, reduces distortion, and minimizes vignetting. It effectively reduces the crop factor of mirrorless cameras with DX-sized sensors (such as Sony E-mount and Fuji X-mount) from 1.5x to 1.07x.
Its advanced use of exotic materials and ultra-high index tantalum-based glass allows excellent correction for virtually all full-frame SLR lenses regardless of exit pupil distance. This makes it ideal for professional-grade f/2.8 zoom lenses (e.g., Canon and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8) to produce faster equivalent focal lengths (e.g., 17-50mm f/2.0 and 50-142mm f/2.0 respectively).
High-speed prime lenses such as a 50mm f/1.2 are transformed into a 35.5mm f/0.9 lens with excellent contrast and resolution from center to edges.
