Usage and Compatibility

The SC2 cable is ideal for connecting the output of an Apple iPhone to a DSLR camera or camcorder. It enables the creation of an "orientation" or scratch audio track on the video recording device while the iPhone simultaneously records high-quality audio using the RØDE iXY stereo microphone.

When used with the RØDE Rec app, the iXY microphone can capture audio at up to 24-bit/96 kHz resolution, ensuring broadcast-quality sound recording.
