The adapter is powered via the camera's hot shoe on compatible Canon and Fujifilm models, eliminating the need for external power supplies and maintaining a compact setup. For cameras without compatible hot shoe power or digital audio support, the CA-XLR2d-AN analogue kit includes a battery box and cables to connect via analogue audio input.
