TRUTHEAR KEYX DAC

The TRUTHEAR KEYX is a portable digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) for improving audio quality with a smartphone, computer or other compatible device, without adding bulky components to your setup. Its Cirrus Logic CS43131 chip provides precise signal processing, while the integrated design helps reduce noise, distortion and interference from communication devices. The distinctive L-shaped housing places the 3.5 mm socket directly in the body, eliminating the short cable found on many adapters. KEYX supports microphones, popular multimedia and streaming services, and online DSP. Sound settings can be adjusted using the EQTOOL.COM platform on a computer.

Cirrus Logic CS43131 Chip

The Cirrus Logic CS43131 decoding chip, also used in high-end audio devices, handles signal conversion in the KEYX. Combined with a high-performance USB controller, it delivers low distortion and noise, a wide frequency range, high dynamic range and a strong signal-to-noise ratio. The design provides high-quality performance and suitable output power for everyday listening to music, watching videos and using streaming services.

L-Shaped Design

Unlike many adapters, the KEYX does not use a short cable to connect the 3.5 mm socket to the PCB. Instead, the female connector is integrated directly into the L-shaped housing. This preserves practical ergonomics while giving the device a cohesive form. The housing is made using multi-component injection moulding and features a CNC-machined, anodised metal body.

Interference Reduction

The integrated design removes additional connectors between key components, enabling more effective shielding and helping minimise radio-frequency interference from communication devices and other sources. This is particularly useful in environments with smartphones, wireless modules and other RF sources. The audio path can maintain stable operating conditions while the DAC retains its portable form factor.

For advanced configuration, the EQTOOL.COM platform is optimised primarily for computer use. Its larger screen makes parameters easier to manage and enables precise sound adjustments.
