SmallRig 3645 Lightweight Multifunctional Modular Matte Box (95mm) VND Kit
This matte box is designed for mirrorless cameras to prevent glare and reflections caused by sunlight or other light sources, while controlling the image on the screen. It helps balance exposure for a given depth of field (DOF) by adjusting external light flux.
Included Threaded Adapter Rings
- Φ67-95mm
- Φ72-95mm
- Φ77-95mm
- Φ82-95mm
These adapters support circular filters such as VND, GND, CPL, common DSLR lenses, and cine lenses with a 95mm outer front diameter. For additional compatibility, SmallRig adapter rings kit 3383 (Φ52-95mm / Φ55-95mm / Φ58-95mm / Φ62-95mm / Φ86-95mm) can be purchased separately.
Filter Frame
The kit includes a 4x5.65" filter frame made of aluminum alloy with an anti-off design, allowing quick installation without leaving fingerprints. For 4x4" filters, SmallRig filter frame 3648 is recommended. For holding multiple slid-in filters simultaneously in complex environments, SmallRig filter frame kit 3649 (4x5.65") is available.
VND Filter Kit
The included VND filter kit 3651 enables quick exposure adjustment under changing light conditions while maintaining the same depth of field.
Design and Accessories
- Form-fitting filter system allows ultra-wide angle shots with focal lengths ≥16mm.
- Lens hood features magnetic installation and quick release design.
- Carbon fiber top flag opens 180° for effective light blocking.
Additional accessories such as the Side Flag Kit (95mm) 3647 can be purchased to further reduce glare. Rod support 3652 provides support and protection for the lens and lens mount, with dual rod support enhancing stability.

Important Notes
- Cannot hold slide-in filter and circular filter simultaneously.
- Incompatible with circular filters having outside diameter larger than 100mm.
- Filter Frame (4x4") 3648 should be placed in the innermost slot near the lens.
- VND Filter Kit 3651 should be placed in the innermost slot near the lens after removing the lens hood.
- Third-party VND filters are not compatible with the VND Filter Kit 3651.
