Optical Snoot for Creative Lighting Effects
The StudioKing SK-OS1 is an optical snoot designed to project the light from a flash or LED lamp onto the background of photos and videos. It enables creative lighting by shaping and coloring the light to enhance the atmosphere of your recordings.
Projection and Performance
- Produces a sharp reflection from approximately 1.2 meters distance.
- At 2.5 meters from the lamp to the surface, it projects an image approximately 2.2 meters wide.
- Emits light at an angle of about 20 degrees.
Included Accessories and Features
- Five color filters: red, green, blue, yellow, and orange.
- Five Gobo shapes: moon, window, heart(s), dot(s), and autumn leaf.
- Gobo holder for easy placement of shapes and filters.
- Bowens/Linkstar adapter ring for mounting on compatible lamps.
Construction and Adjustment
- Robust metal construction suitable for reliable use in various locations.
- Adjustable knob on top shifts the internal lens to focus the projection sharply on the wall.
- Recommended to use with a flash lamp of at least 600 Ws to ensure clear visibility of colors and shapes in daylight.
Compatibility with Other Brands
The SK-OS1 comes standard with a Bowens/Linkstar adapter ring but features an interchangeable adapter system. Separate adapter rings are available to connect the snoot to other brands of flash units, expanding its versatility.
