• Enhanced Light Transmission Coatings
  Pentax binoculars elevate optical quality with a new optimized coating technology on the objective and prism surfaces, increasing light transmission and producing bright images with accurate color reproduction.
• Protective Lens Coating
  All optical surfaces are sensitive and should be handled carefully to avoid scratches. To enhance the durability of the Z waterproof binoculars, Pentax has added a protective nano-technology coating that helps guard against water, oil, dust, and dirt, allowing them to withstand the harshest viewing conditions.
• BaK4 Prisms
  The BaK4 glass prism, found in all Pentax Z binoculars, is highly regarded for its excellent refractive index, providing a perfectly round exit pupil and a clear, undistorted image.
• Phase Correction

• PENTAX Waterproofing
  PENTAX waterproof products are fully sealed and purged with laboratory-grade nitrogen to prevent fogging in the harshest weather conditions. PENTAX waterproof binoculars meet JIS Class 6 standards, allowing them to be submerged up to 3 feet deep.
• Unique Hydrophobic Coating
  Water droplets on the lens negatively affect light entry. A unique water-repellent coating on all external lenses causes water droplets to form small, deformed beads, reducing distortion and allowing them to slide off the lens easily. • Nitrogen Purged
  Nitrogen is an inert element, a colorless gas with no odor or taste. It contains very little moisture, making it ideal for purging binoculars and telescopes from high humidity in our environment. Due to its low moisture coefficient, nitrogen prevents condensation on the internal lenses of optical instruments during rapid temperature changes. Additionally, since nitrogen is injected into the optical instrument at a pressure slightly above atmospheric pressure, dust and other fine particles are kept out of the housing.
