The binoculars are also filled with argon gas to ensure a waterproof and fog-free performance.

The Vortex Viper HD 12x50 has a 12x magnification and delivers a sharp, high-contrast image with true colours. This is made possible by the use of extra-low dispersion glass and a special coating. The transmission of light is optimized by Vortex's anti-reflective coating. The lenses have an extremely hard and scratch-resistant coating that protects the surface from scratches, grease and other dirt.
