The Blackmagic Design Web Presenter HD is a self-contained streaming device featuring a professional hardware H.264 encoder designed for direct streaming to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and more. It supports full 1080p video streaming by converting HD or Ultra HD inputs via its 12G-SDI input with down conversion.

Connectivity and Compatibility
The device features a 12G-SDI input supporting all HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60, with a 12G-SDI loop output for chaining multiple units to stream to multiple services simultaneously. Teranex conversion technology ensures clean video quality by automatically down converting Ultra HD inputs to 1080p HD for streaming and USB webcam output.
For internet connectivity, the Web Presenter HD offers a built-in Ethernet port and two USB ports for tethering mobile phones, automatically switching between connections to maintain uninterrupted streaming. Users can prioritize Ethernet or phone connections for automatic failover.
Monitoring and Control
The technical monitoring output provides a comprehensive graphical interface including video preview, accurate audio meters, codec data rate trend graphs, cache fill status, streaming settings summary, and detailed SDI technical information. This output is available in full 1080p HD via both SDI and HDMI, allowing flexible monitoring options.
The included Web Presenter Utility software enables centralized management of multiple Web Presenter units, facilitating remote configuration and software updates. The front panel LCD and menus provide intuitive local control with the same settings and options.
Additional Applications
Besides streaming to public platforms, the Web Presenter HD can be used as a private broadcast SDI video link between studios when paired with the ATEM Streaming Bridge, which decodes the H.264 stream back to SDI video for local or global distribution over Ethernet or the internet.
Physical Design
Based on the modular Teranex Mini design, the Web Presenter HD is compact and portable, measuring only 140 mm (5.5 inches) wide, allowing three units to fit in a single rack unit. This makes it ideal for multi-stream setups or integration with other live production equipment such as the ATEM Television Studio HD switcher.
