High Capacity and Performance

The S-8972 battery provides approximately 5.5 hours of operation on a SONY HVR-Z1 camcorder with the LCD monitor on. It delivers a maximum total output power of 45 W (6 A), with the pole-tap DC output supporting up to 30 W (4 A) at 7.2 V nominal voltage.

Built-in Pole-tap DC Output Socket

The side-mounted pole-tap DC output socket allows simultaneous powering of on-camera LED lights, monitors, or wireless transmitters while the camera is running. This socket can also serve as a charging input when used with the SWIT portable charger S-3010D.
