Camera Protection and Modular Design

The SmallRig Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3 4183 is engineered to protect your camera while providing multiple accessory mounting points. The cage features a modular design consisting of a removable NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail is secured on top with two 1/4"-20 screws and can be removed to install the original XLR top handle. The U-shaped cage is fixed with 1/4"-20 screws on both sides and the bottom to prevent twisting, and includes a cushion to protect the camera from scratches.

At the battery door, a hinge arm is designed to fit the camera's curve, enhancing grip comfort for the little finger.

Accessory Mounting and Cable Management

A dedicated HDMI cable clamp protects the camera interfaces, ensuring stable signal transmission. The cage offers a variety of mounting options:

• 1/4"-20 threaded holes compatible with Magic Arm 2070.
• ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes for attaching Top Handle 2165C or Monitor Mount 2903B.
• Top NATO rail supports Top Handle 3322; left NATO rail supports Side Handle 2187B.
• 1/4"-20 locating holes at the top-left quarter and left side for Rod Clamp 3598, ideal for follow focus systems.
• Two 1/4"-20 holes on the right side allow secure mounting onto a quick release plate for vertical shooting.
• Cold shoe mount supports accessories such as microphones and LED lights.
• QD port at the bottom fits a quick detach strap.

Compatibility with Gimbals and Tripods

The cage includes an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate at the bottom, enabling direct attachment to DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, and RS 3 Pro gimbals. It also supports a height increase pad for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbals and the Arca-Type Quick Release Plate 3154 for tripod mounting.

Additional Features

• Mounting holes on both sides and the bottom accommodate hand straps and shoulder straps.
• A magnetic spanner is included for easy assembly and disassembly.
• Note: The top NATO rail must be removed before installing the original XLR handle.
