Camera Protection and Accessory Mounting
The SmallRig Cage 3982 is specifically designed for the Nikon Z 8 camera equipped with the MB-N12 Battery Grip. It provides comprehensive protection for the camera body while enabling the attachment of various accessories to enhance shooting capabilities.
Secure Locking and Full Access
- The cage secures the camera using one bottom 1/4"-20 screw and one M2.5 screw on each side, ensuring a stable fit.
- Rubber pads are integrated to prevent scratches on the camera surface.
- Full access is maintained to all essential camera functions including buttons, card slots, battery door, and flip screen.
Extensive Mounting Options
- Multiple threaded holes: 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16, plus an ARRI 3/8"-16 locating hole for versatile accessory attachment.
- Supports mounting of SmallRig Top Handles (models 2165 and 1638), Side Handles (2093 and 2425), Monitor Mounts (2903 and 2904), and Magic Arm (3875).
- Two cold shoe mounts allow attachment of a microphone and LED video light.
- Front end includes two 1/4"-20 threaded holes for Dual 15mm Rod Clamp (942), matte box, lens support, and one 1/4"-20 locating hole for Single Rod Clamp (3276) for focus follow systems.
Arca-Swiss Quick-Release System
- Equipped with Arca-Swiss quick-release bottom and side plates enabling fast switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations on tripods.
- The bottom quick-release plate is compatible with Arca-type tripods and DJI gimbals including RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, and RS 3 Pro, facilitating quick transitions between handheld, gimbal, and tripod setups.
Additional Features
- Includes a magnetic double-ended wrench for convenient assembly and disassembly of the cage.
- Note: The split ring on both sides of the camera must be removed before installing the cage.
