Custom Design for Sony FX5

The Tilta Camera Cage for Sony FX5 Pro Kit is engineered specifically for the Sony FX5 cinema camera body, providing a secure and stable mounting solution with three points of contact to prevent twisting.

Modular and Lightweight Configuration

The full cage can be converted into a lightweight half cage by removing two bottom screws and the handle-side bracket, allowing users to switch between a robust or streamlined setup depending on shooting requirements.

Accessory Mounting Options

  • Multiple 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threaded holes with various locating points
  • Cold shoe receiver for accessory attachment
  • NATO rail on the top plate for mounting top handles and other accessories
  • Mounting points for a single rod holder

Top Plate and Baseplate Features

  • Standalone NATO rail top plate with multiple threaded mounting points
  • Supports the camera’s original XLR handle without interference
  • Bi-directional ARCA baseplate slides in from either side for quick transitions between tripods and gimbals
  • DJI gimbal center-positioning point on the bottom reduces balancing time
  • Separate center-positioning point for baseplates to help build a well-balanced rig

Durability and Cable Management

  • Reinforced corners protect the cage from accidental bumps and damage during active filming
  • Locking HDMI cable clamp secures cables and maintains a stable signal

Ergonomics and Accessibility

  • All camera buttons, dials, and screen functions remain fully accessible with specially designed clearances

Included Handles

  • Xeno Top Handle: Attaches via NATO rail on the top plate, offering increased clearance and multiple mounting options including 1/4”-20 threads and a cold shoe receiver for accessories like external monitors
  • Xeno Side Handle: Mounts to the left side of the cage using a NATO connection with height adjustability, featuring a non-slip silicone grip and mounting points such as a cold shoe receiver and 1/4”-20 threaded holes

Adjustable Baseplate

The Arca Height Adjustable 15mm LWS Baseplate allows users to adjust the camera height relative to 15mm rods, maintaining the LWS 85mm standard between rods and the sensor center to ensure compatibility with various accessories and camera bodies.
