The Tilta Camera Cage for Sony FX5 Power Kit is engineered specifically for the Sony FX5 cinema camera body, providing a secure and stable mounting solution with three points of contact to prevent twisting.
Modular Cage Configuration
The full cage can be converted into a lightweight half cage by removing two bottom screws and the handle-side bracket, allowing users to switch between a robust or a more compact setup depending on shooting requirements.
Accessory Mounting Options
- Multiple 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threaded holes at various locations for versatile accessory attachment.
- Cold shoe receiver for mounting compatible accessories.
- NATO rail on the top plate for attaching top handles and other gear.
- Mounting points for a single rod holder to support additional rig components.
Top Plate and Bottom Plate Features
The standalone top plate is a NATO rail that adds multiple threaded mounting points, maintaining compatibility with the camera’s original XLR handle. The bi-directional ARCA bottom plate slides in from either side, enabling quick transitions between tripods and gimbals. It includes a DJI gimbal center-positioning point to reduce balancing time and a separate center-positioning point for baseplates to help build a well-balanced rig.
Adjustable ARCA Receiver and Mini PD Battery Plate
This kit includes an Adjustable ARCA Receiver and a Mini PD V-Mount Battery Plate, offering a lightweight and flexible solution to mount batteries without traditional baseplates or 15mm rods. The receiver can extend to position the battery closer or farther from the camera body, and a swivel hinge allows adjustment of the battery angle up to 180 degrees.
Power and Connectivity
- The battery plate supports larger capacity V-Mount batteries to extend camera and accessory operating time.
- Power output options include a 60W PD USB-C port, a P-Tap port, and a 2-Pin Lemo connection, each providing 20V/3A.
- Integrated strap slots enable secure attachment of a safety strap to prevent accidental battery disconnection.
- Additional 1/4”-20 and M4 threads on top of the battery plate allow for unique mounting configurations using adapters or articulating arms.
